What kind of experience & services does Premium Moving offer?
- Experience:
Gary Puntasecca, President/CEO: As founder of Premium Moving I have been in the moving/trucking industry since 1984 running some of the larger relocation companies in Georgia and New York. I have experience with all types of moving from residential, commercial, industrial, interstate, intrastate and new furniture delivery service. With my experience in the operational and sales side of the business you can count on us for a stress free move. Premium Moving has been an incorporated moving service since 1994. We are licensed and insured in the state of Georgia and also a member of the Georgia’s Movers Association & the Better Business Bureau.
Mark Witte, Vice President/COO: I have been helping companies relocate within Atlanta and throughout the world for the past 10 years. I have worked for 3 other companies in that time and became frustrated at the decreasing control I had over how the moves were being performed, invoiced, and collected as each of the companies was larger than the last. An opportunity presented itself to be able to go back to providing a high level of customer service at an affordable price with confidence and control over the outcome of the move. I have been a part of over 3,800 office relocations from a small internal shift to over 75 moves of fortune 500 offices.
- Employees: Premium Moving employees’ approx. 40- full time supervisors, drivers and movers. We do not use temporary or day laborers. Our employees are efficient, hard working, dependable, friendly and professional.
- Local Moving: All local moves are quoted on an hourly rated basis. A mover can give a binding estimate for a local relocation. An hourly rated move is based on the actual time it takes to load the truck, drive to destination and unload the truck. Hourly rates are based on the amount of men and trucks used in your relocation. Remember the bigger the crew the more it is per hour but the faster and more efficient the move will go. All hourly-based moves are broken down into 15-minute increments. Free on site estimates are available upon request. Travel time charges can no longer be charged by licensed movers due to new regulations by the G.P.S.C./D.M.V.S..
- Interstate & Intrastate Moving: An interstate/intrastate move is relocations where the origin and destination are more than 50-miles apart. The charges on these moves are based on the weight and distance of the relocation. These moves can have binding or not to exceed estimates. Free on site estimates are available upon request.
- Packing: Like moving, packing is also done on an hourly basis. You would also be charged for any material (boxes, paper, tape etc.) that is supplied by Premium Moving. You are not obligated to purchase our packing service or buy your material from Premium Moving but we do recommend that all boxes be taped securely and in satisfactory condition.
- Insurance: All moves include limited liability insurance coverage at no additional charge. This type of insurance is for loss or damage not exceeding $300.00 per move. This is based on a depreciated value at time of loss or damage. There are two optional insurance’s that can be purchased. The cost for the additional insurance’s is $10.95 per $1000.00 worth of coverage with no deductible or $3.65 per $1000.00 with a $300.00 deductible. There are items that are not covered under the terms of our insurance policy such as unpacked glass, pictures, mirrors, lamps, marble tops, assembled press wood or particleboard furniture and other extremely fragile items. We also cannot be responsible for contents of any container not packed by Premium Moving unless there is external damage or evidence of mishandling. Premium Moving can not be liable for items such as jewelry, currency, legal documents, stocks/bonds, guns, or items of extraordinary or personal value, we recommend these items be removed from the premises prior to the relocation.
Note: We suggest you contact your homeowner’s agent and see if a “rider” can be put on your policy.
